Step 1: Tell us what you are looking for
This could be a particular sentiment, special event, subject, etc. Let us know what you are looking for, and we will try to find an appropriate zen saying to match.
Step 2: Approval
We will present to you one or more proposed texts, along with the translation and an explanation of the meaning, for your approval. If a close match to your request cannot be found, we may suggest some alternatives.
Step 3: Execution
Once approved, we will send the request to Master Takahashi to be rendered in ink. Full payment will be expected at this time.
Step 4: Delivery
The finished work will be delivered to you either directly from Japan, or via our US office.
The whole process may take 1 – 2 months, so if the commission is for a special occasion please be sure to leave ample time.
